GetManna (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a Bible reading companion. This policy explains the information GetManna handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

You may explore GetManna without an account. If you create an account, we collect your email address, authentication method, account identifier, and any display name or username you choose. Authentication is provided through Sign in with Apple, Google, a one-time email link, or email and password. Supabase processes email/password credentials and retains a protected password hash for authentication. The GetManna app does not retain your plaintext password after the sign-in request.

Reading activity and content you create

GetManna stores information needed to provide the features you use, including:

• Bible books, chapters, and verses you read; reading time; streaks; and reading-plan progress
• Highlights, verse notes, sermon notes, and reading preferences
• Expound questions, AI-generated responses, and related verse or commentary context

Guest activity is stored on your device. If you later create an account, GetManna offers to associate that local progress with your account for sync.

Social and safety information

If you use social features, we store friend requests and connections, shared verses and messages, read status, blocked-account relationships, and reports you submit. A report may include the reported message, the reason you select, and optional details you provide. We use this information to deliver social features, prevent unwanted contact, review abuse, and enforce our Terms.

Approximate location

With your permission, GetManna uses approximate location to request current weather and time-of-day conditions for the Journey trail. Location is requested only while using the app, cached locally for a short period, and not stored on our servers. You can deny or revoke permission in iOS Settings; the rest of the app remains available.

Diagnostics

GetManna uses Sentry to receive crash reports, app-hang information, and performance diagnostics so we can identify and fix reliability problems. Diagnostics may include app version, device and operating-system details, error traces, and technical performance data. GetManna configures Sentry not to attach your account identifier or email address and does not enable session screenshots or view-hierarchy capture.

Cloud AI processing

GetManna does not send content to its cloud AI services until you affirmatively choose “Allow Cloud AI.” Depending on the feature you request, the content may include: the selected Scripture reference and text; your prompt and recent Expound messages; selected commentary excerpts; a Bible search phrase that local matching could not resolve; or, for a daily recap, that day’s reading activity, highlights, notes, and relevant Expound moments. This content is used only to generate the result you requested.

Cloud AI requests are processed through GetManna’s cloud backend and current processors: OpenCode Go and, depending on the requested feature and model routing, Moonshot AI’s Kimi models or Google models. If we materially change the recipients or categories of content sent, the app will ask for your permission again before a new cloud request.

You can decline cloud processing or withdraw permission at any time under Profile > Cloud AI privacy. On a supported iPhone, you can select Apple On-Device for private Expound generation; daily recaps remain cloud-only. Withdrawing cloud permission blocks new cloud requests; it does not automatically delete responses or other content already saved to your account or device.

2. How we use information

• Provide Bible reading, notes, plans, Journey, Expound, and social features
• Save and sync account data across your devices
• Generate AI-assisted biblical commentary, semantic search results, and daily recaps you request
• Show optional weather-aware Journey visuals
• Protect users, investigate reports, prevent abuse, and maintain app security
• Diagnose crashes, performance issues, and service failures

We do not sell your personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

3. Service providers

We share only the information needed for these providers to perform services for GetManna:

• Supabase provides authentication, database storage, and account sync. Supabase Privacy Policy
• OpenCode Go, Moonshot AI (Kimi), and Google process the request content described above only after you allow Cloud AI and request a cloud result. OpenCode Go provides model routing for applicable requests; depending on the feature and route, Moonshot AI or Google provides model inference. GetManna does not use your content to train its own model. A material processor change requires renewed in-app permission.

• Apple and Google process authentication when you choose their sign-in services, under their own privacy policies.

4. Storage, security, and retention

GetManna uses an offline-first design: content may be stored on your device and, for signed-in users, synced through Supabase. Data is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Server-side row-level security restricts access based on the signed-in account.

We retain account data while your account is active and for only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Safety reports may be retained after related content is removed when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse. Deleting the app removes its local container from that device; deleting your account requests deletion of associated server data.

5. Your choices and rights

• Explore locally: use core reading features without creating an account
• Access and correct: review or edit your content and profile in the app
• Delete: remove individual content or delete your account from Profile settings
• Location: deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings
• Cloud AI: decline cloud processing, withdraw permission under Profile > Cloud AI privacy, or choose Apple On-Device Expound on a supported iPhone
• Social safety: report a message, block an account, or unblock an account from settings
• Privacy request: contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable

6. Children’s privacy

GetManna is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

7. International processing

Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from those in your country.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GetManna changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
